What is Om (Ohm or Aum)?  Om is a sanskrit word meaning "to shout, sound" or "to make a humming or droning sound". In Hiduism it is described as the name of God or the the vibration of the Supreme.  In Buddhism it is used as part of the most famous mantra om mani padme hum.
